Last Sunday Tess and I took a ride out to Barkerville. We've been there dozens of times. There is nothing new there. You pay to get in and you pay to buy things you don't need once you are in. Still, it is yearly thing, I suppose. It is something to do on a quiet Sunday.
Usually it is a beautiful drive out but this year with all the forest fires the air was laden with heavy smoke drifting through the forests and across the roads. It stunk.
Once we were there the air cleared up and smelled wonderfully fresh.
These are a few of the sights. Sorry. No commentary.
