Sermon Sunday - Where Are the Heroes

At the age of 19 Gene Warr was commissioned in the US Army and served in an armoured division of Patton's 3rd Army. After the war Gene returned to Oklahoma and lived his life as a businessman and as an associate of the para-church organization, The Navigators. Gene was one of the outstanding leaders in his generation which yielded many great leaders in what has been called The Greatest Generation. More of Gene's story can be found HERE.

Today I want to present one his talks titled Where Are the Heroes. This talk was given sometime before the fall of the Berlin Wall and is an exhortation such as we seldom here any longer. We live in an age where all the depravity and lack of character Gene saw coming and warned about has come to pass and yet his talk remains as relevant now as when he gave it.

We are each either part of the problem or we are part of the answer. Most of us have chosen to be part of the problem. Where Are the Heroes?
