On May 15, five days before I quit smoking, I decided I had better get some kind of physical exercise going to help with what I thought would be difficult withdrawal symptoms.
Quitting smoking was much easier than I had anticipated (with the help of Champix) but I kept the exercising up anyway. Besides, I do enjoy walking.
I have walked every single day since May 15. In doing so I have walked, if my math is correct, 86 straight days. I have walked a total of 1311 kilometers (819 miles) and lost a total of 35 pounds.
Those Olympic athletes have nothing on me!
